This Virtual Lesson that took place during National Vocation Awareness Week in November will allow students to hear directly from a priest and religious sister who will teach a lesson with activities that will allow the student to learn that God has a plan for them and provide them with ways of discovering that plan. The lesson will also focus on the life of the priest and religious and how they discovered their vocation in service to God and the Church.
Fr. Mike has been ordained a priest for 10 years serving in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles at Holy Family, Glendale, Our Lady of Peace, North Hills and now in the Office for Vocations residing at Holy Trinity, Atwater. He was a chemistry and physics teacher before becoming a priests and loves sports, movies, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Fr. Peter has been ordained a priest for 3 years for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he felt called to the priesthood during his years at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. He returned home and joined St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, CA. After his ordination in 2018, he served his first assignment at St. Helen, South Gate and more recently as Associate Vocation Director. Fr. Peter says, “these first few years of priesthood have been a huge blessing, I look forward to continue my work as a priest and bring Christ to the world.”
Sr. Kimberly celebrates 11 years of being a religious sister with the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Los Angeles. Aside from teaching, she loves to play volleyball, charades, and watch suspenseful movies.
