WHAT IS A QUO VADIS RETREAT?The Quo Vadis Retreat is an opportunity to examine where your life is going and ask the Lord if you are going in the right direction. This retreat is designed for high school men to discern a vocation to the Priesthood, Religious life or to Marriage. On this retreat, you will have the ability to take time and ask the Lord where He desires to lead you. -
THE MEANING OF QUO VADISIn the years following Jesus' Resurrection, the Roman officials became upset by how fast Christianity was growing, primarily by the influence of St. Peter.
As Peter was fleeing Rome, he had a life-altering encounter with Christ. Peter has a vision of Jesus walking back toward the city. In pure shock, Peter asked, " Quo Vadis, Domine?" which means, "Where are you going, Lord?"
Jesus answered him, "I am going back to Rome to be crucified a second time."
Peter immediately understood what Jesus meant, turn around and continued his work in Rome and offered his life for Christ. -
